Our Story
Robert "Robbie" Nolan Owens built his life on family and faith. Robbie grew up in Denver,CO as one of more than 100 grandchildren; he was the only one named for his grandpa.
"He was the chef of our family, a real chef," Robbie recalls his grandpa with a smile.That love for food settled in for the young Robbie early in life.

Robbie opened up a food trailer in 2015 named Smackin Wings and Things.
Robbie's grandpa and namesake passed away in June 2018. Immediately after, the chance for Smackin Wings first brick and mortar location fell in Robbie's lap. He then decided to rename his restaurant brand to "Daddy's Smackin Wings and Things" for his grandpa and hero. A chef, a veteran, and a beloved man, Daddy was widely respected.
